Facilities at Hamble club

Snooker

We have 2 full size snooker tables available for members and guests. We currently have 2 teams which play in the snooker league. The snooker league games are played on Monday evenings. If you would like to join the snooker league, then please contact us.

Pool

We have 2 pool tables which is enjoyed by our pools players which vary from the good players to the, well, not so good. It’s only 50p for a game but games are free on Thursdays. We have 2 teams, one which plays league matches on Tuesday evenings and one which plays on Thursdays. If you would like to join the pool league team, then please contact us.

Darts

We have 3 dart boards available for all the darts players and potential darts players. We have a mixed darts team which play in the darts league. The darts league play on Monday nights. If you would like to join the darts league, then please contact us.

Billiards

We have 2 full size tables for our billiards players. We have a billiards team which plays league matches on Wednesday evenings during the league season. If you would like to join the billiards league, then contact us.

The Hamble Social billiards team have been Southampton & District Billiards League winners 3 times, in 2008, 2013 and 2019
We have also been Usher Shield Champions 5 times, most recently in 2022.

Poker

We have a poker group that get together on Thursday evenings to enjoy a few friendly games of poker.

Hamble Monday Club

The “Hamble Monday Club” was formed approximately 50 years ago and is held at the Hamble Club, on Monday afternoons from 1.00pm to 2.30pm. It is open to all older persons although anyone over 50 who are lonely are welcome. The purpose of the Club is to give the older (or lonely) people somewhere to go at least once a week to meet others for a chat over a cup of tea and a biscuit.

Most of our members enjoy a game of Bingo so we include this in our afternoons with an occasional speaker. During the Spring/Summer months we arrange various Outings which we subsidise from Grants we apply for. We also hold a Christmas Party at a subsidised cost which includes a Christmas dinner, entertainment and a small gift to go home with.

As Hamble Club allows us the use of their facilities at no cost we do ask all our members to become members of Hamble Club itself.

Karate

We have kids karate classes on Monday evenings and and adult karate classes on Thursday evenings.

Hamble Scooter Club

We are the home to Hamble Scooter Club, Southampton which was set up for people who share the love of riding scooters. It does not matter what anyone rides 4 stroke or 2 stroke, new or old, twists and go or even geared. The group supports whatever individuals choose to ride and aims for everyone to have a laugh and enjoy their scooters. The group treats everyone with the upmost dignity and respect regardless of what they ride, without any of the politics, enjoying good genuine friendship.

Chess

Our chess teams play league matches on Wednesdays in the Southampton Chess League. If you are interested in playing chess or joining the league, then contact the captain, Martin Buckley on 07553 484795 for more information.

Hamble Sea Angling Club

The fishing club compete against other clubs and have won many trophies over the years. Deep-sea fishing is mostly around the Solent and around the Needles.
